Like so many of the items in the Wikipedia list, your rosquillas seem entirely non-controversial to me: sweet fried toroidal dough pastries = doughnuts.
I mean, uh. Those rosquillas look purty darned controversial to me! You should send me some, and I’ll decide whether they qualify as doughnuts.
I may need to deliberate for some time. Send lots.
