My friend's seven-year-old is obsessed with art and artists. No one seems to know where this interest came from, but henow owns a set of artist flashcards from his parents (and BOY do they make me feel inferior!). He can tell you when an artist lived, where they were from, what they painted, and their style! Maybe grade school art class has morphed from paste-eating and magic marker-sniffing into something classy and refined?
